Bob Braithwaite

My grandpa is one of the funniest people I've ever met. Insanely sharp, wrote a book about his work in the judicial system that remains one of my favorites. Most of his life he spent doing criminal trials in and around national parks, keeping the last little pockets of the world we haven't completely ruined as safe as he possibly could. He married my grandma, a feminist landscape painter who protested against nuclear testing after people in her community began to get leukemia. They built the first modern-style house in Cedar City and filled it with her paintings and pictures of their kids. My grandfather also killed a man in cold blood.
